Katie Monroe is a photographer, creative director, and educator known for her refined eye and true-to-life imagery. For nearly two decades, she has shaped the photography industry with a distinct aesthetic rooted in emotional storytelling, consistency, and fine-art detail.
She founded Kreate Photography in 2008 and quickly became recognized as a leader in the wedding industry. Since 2014, she has mentored photographers through her business education programs, helping them build sustainable, profitable brands. In 2017, she expanded into brand photography and strategy with the launch of Katie Monroe Brand Photography, extending her creative vision to serve founders, creatives, and leaders.
With 17 in business and a decade of guiding photographers toward six-figure success, Katie’s approach blends creativity, consistency, technical excellence, and storytelling. Her mission is to help photographers create refined, consistent, and editorially polished images that feel timeless and real.

MY JOURNEY
Today, my business thrives off of a set of systems and workflows that have allowed me to scale, grow a team, start a family, and move into the commercial photography sector all while maintaining a robust multi-six-figure wedding + lifestyle photography business.
Although I am feeling inspired and confident in my business right now, I’ve experienced my fair share of struggles and severe burnout on my journey. I was on the grind for years before I achieved a sense of balance and could scale my business.
I finally cracked the code when I realized I didn't have to do it all alone. My transformation was born when I invested in my education and created a blueprint of systems, strategies, and workflows that could be repeated and improved over time. I invested in my growth, consultants, and contractors so I could focus on the top 5% of the business that only could be done by me.
I leveled up and never looked back. Halle-freakin-lujahhhh!
It’s that simple: with the right systems in place, you can build a sustainable business model and scale your business into a lucrative, energizing career.
The kind where you focus on your love for photography again, delegate like a boss, and have time for the things that light you up outside of work.
My main goal is to help you do the same thing (but in far less than 17 years). You cannot expect different results if you keep doing the same thing over and over again and I am here to help you break the cycle and reclaim balance in your life and empowerment in your career.
