MY STORY
Starting in 2008, I built my business from the ground up. ALONE! Scaled it past my first six figures without the support I needed.
I burned out (badly…ulcer, overwhelm, fight or flight).
I learned, I changed, I educated myself. I invested in mentorship & consultants.
Then, I rebuilt it.
I began growing my team in 2013 and started creating the business ecosystem we thrive off of today.
10-years ago, I strategically expanded into brand + commercial work, knowing I wanted a family and multiple revenue streams (and kept my wedding, family + lifestyle business strong throughout).
Now we have a team of photographers, in-house editors, and an admin and marketing team (all women!) who keep our engine going with systems, automations, communication, and leadership so our creativity can thrive.
Then, I began mentoring other creatives and photographers. My cup was full. This work completed the intentional, creative work-life balance I was striving for!
So I kept going.
I had our first baby girl during a global pandemic, running 3 brands in quarantine.
Had our son while scaling my mentorship business and launching our podcast, Focus & Flourish.
And here I am, a mama of a 2 and 5-year-old, wife, entrepreneur, Peloton fanatic, photographer, creative director, artist, and mentor.
None of this happened because I worked harder & continued burning out...
It was because I finally stopped trying to do it all alone…
The turning point was simple but uncomfortable.
I invested in mentorship. I built real systems. I created workflows that could be repeated, refined, and trusted.
I focused on the highest-level work only I could do and let go of the rest.
